Adopt a Redbone Coonhound (short coat)

Decatur is a sweet 9 year old redbone coonhound. If you're looking for a typical laid back guy, Decatur is the one for you. Skip the puppy stages, and adopt this potty trained, sweet boy. All he wants is a couch to lounge on and someone to give him endless belly rubs! Decatur came to us from an animal control in Arkansas where he was minutes away from being euthanized.

When we rescued Decatur, we quickly discovered he was heartworm positive and he underwent heartworm treatment. He is UTD on his vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed, has been given flea & tick preventative, is neutered and had a dental. He is good with other dogs and he is incredibly sweet!!!

We will do our best to respond to any and all requests and contacts as soon as possible, but we are a 100% volunteer run rescue. It is great because that means we can keep our adoption prices low because we are not paying salaries, but all of our volunteers do have families and "real" jobs in order to support our passion of saving animals from euthanasia often just days or hours before they are scheduled to be put to sleep. It is not uncommon that when you have made the decision to add to your family and committing to adopting a rescue dog that you are very excited, we just ask that you be patient with us.
